Sorority Alumnae Meeting Plans Charity Efforts

Alpha Gamma Delta Alumnae met at Mrs. Clark E Williams home for a potluck and business session. They voted to donate to the War Fund Drive and to aid other needy groups. They will help the active chapter prepare garments for a summer camp for underprivileged children run by the national organization. The November meeting is set for Mrs. William J Brown’s home on November 15.

Halloween Parties Scheduled Across Churches This Weekend

Friday events include a primary and junior department Halloween party at the Christian Church basement at 6:30 PM and a Central Avenue Methodist Church primary group gathering from 6 to 8 PM. Saturday hosts Pallas Club at Mrs C D Hopkins home at 2:30 PM and Presbyterian Church beginners plus grades 1 and 2 Halloween party 2:30 to 4:00 PM in the Sunday School room. A Rebekah Lodge special meeting Monday at 7:30 PM includes balloting on membership applications, with drill team acting after.
