Hole in Route 124 to be filled near Long Bottom
Southern Meigs County leaders and West Virginia officials plan to fill a large hole downstream from Long Bottom after a mid summer slip. A sand fill will be paved before Route 124 can reopen. Signage misleads drivers about ferry distance, and a nearby bridge to Ravenswood is eyed to boost industry and crossing options. Total project cost is shared by Ohio and Federal Highway Funds.
