Fans Travel To Logan High Game For Local Eyes On Ohio State

Followers of the Yellow Jackets will journey to Logan to see the high school clash, then plan to proceed to Columbus for the night. Saturday attendance is slated at the Ohio State Great Lakes event as part of the same fan run.

Pomeroy near Long Bottom saw a pair of cars collide near the Catholic Church about 6 30 PM injuring seven residents of the Pomeroy Bend. Victims include Jacob Zeiher Ethan Harper Ruth Huber R J Jacobs Majel Lee Douglas Jennings Neiss Powell. Ambu lances from Ewing Funeral Home and others rushed the injured to Holzer Hospital Gallipolis.

Funeral for Young Mother to Be Held at Ewing Chapel

Funeral services are set for Mrs Norman Smith 29 who died at Holzer Hospital. The service will be held Sunday at 2 20 PM at Ewing Chapel with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery. Leota Schreiner Dies in Holzer Hospital at 72

Mrs Leota McDermitt Schreiner 72 of Middleport died Thursday night at Holzer Hospital after a heart ailment. She lived in Middleport since childhood and is survived by daughter Sara Edith Schreiner and sister Mrs C F Hawkins. She was a former Eastern Star matron and secretary and a Heath Methodist member. Pomeroy PTA Holds Second Meeting of School Year

Pomeroy Junior-Senior PTA met at the Junior-High School with new teachers introduced including Charl Stroud and Ralph Spencer. The group donated 15 to the National War Fund and planned library book purchases and after school recreation programs. Also reported was the death of William T. Stobart after a heart attack while driving near Racine Bashan Road. Funeral services set for Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
