Delbert McCray of Nelsonville won first place in a Florida statewide contest held in Lecanto near Silver Springs. His band the Coun try Blue Pops took third in the state championship. He received a golden guitar trophy a plaque and $100 cash plus a recording contract for Richest One Around.
