Miami Leads as Bowling Green Stumbles in MAC Showdown

Bowling Green, 4-0 in MAC play, dominated Western Michigan 40-6 to extend its conference lead though Lovell Coleman was held to 38 rushing yards. Miami, 2nd in offense, blanked Kent 35-0 while Ohio U topped Dayton 27-8. Coleman still tops rushing and scoring despite BG’s strong defense and Ramlow’s three scores pushed him into a scoring tie with Chuck Stobart.

Homecoming to feature 10000 at Ohio U game with Miami

Ohio University plans a 10000 strong Homecoming crowd for the Miami game after last year’s influenza cancelation. The Saturday program includes a 930 a.m. parade with 32 floats and a campus pep rally at the stadium led by the band and Bobcat players. halftime will crown the Homecoming Queen with floats paraded.

Rutherford To Preside Over Alumni Directors

Dwight H. Rutherford an Athens insuranceman and national president of Ohio University alumni board will preside at a Homecoming Weekend meeting in the University Center. Alumni Secretary Martin L. Hecht will report on finances and activities as plans are made for forthcoming events. A dinner for board members and spouses precedes the session with local and out of town attendees listed.
