GALLIPOLIS Four hundred cattle sold at the sixth annual stock and feeder sale at the Ohio Valley Livestock Market with about 800 head total. Jackie Russell Kananga won top price 20 cents a pound for a 1030 pound calf steer bought by Evans Malted Milk Shop for 221.45 dollars. Danny Morris Harrisburg received second with an 800 pound steer sold for 160 dollars. Norval Morris Harrisburg placed third at 15 cents a pound with steer bought by Evans Packing Company. Frank C Ghrist said 800 head were sold and total money involved was about 80 000 dollars with fifty buyers present from northern and central Ohio. There was one pen of registered Herefords and one pen of fat steers.
