The English Consort of Viols performs Sunday at 8 p m in Ewing Auditorium as the first University Chamber Music program of the year. Tickets for the chamber series are season tickets only. An organ program by Larry Tracy is set for Wednesday Oct 21 at Galbreath Chapel 9 p m with works by Bach Reubke and Middelschulte.
At a Lodi Grange meeting Mr. Ruth spoke on a missionary trip to Korea with slides shown by Charlotte LaTourette. An auditor’s report was read, Mrs. Denzil Robinson received a Builders pin for 10 new members, and Faye Wingett led an Officer’s Conference. Planned events include a joint Grange Woodman Party on Oct 31 and Education Week Oct 19–23 with West Elementary School open in Athens. The Wednesday Club discussed voting and sent a donation to Veterans Hospital.
In a saucepan combine 1 can condensed tomato soup cup milk and 4% cup shredded Cheddar cheese. Heat until cheese is melted and smooth. Makes about 1 cup.
