Gallipolis Museum to Showcase Authentic French Five Hundred Imports
The Our House inn in Gallipolis will be renovated to recreate an 1825 Lafayette era tavern. Dr C B Holser plans authentic French imports from the French Five Hundred and loaned items will fill rooms with careful replication. The dining room and fire room likely top the initial restoration, with one or two rooms ready by summer 1936 as work progresses one room at a time. The Business and Professional Women's Club will assist in choosing antiques and furnishings.
