Country Fair supports Athens Mental Health Center chapel
The Athens Mental Health Center Ladies Auxiliary hosted a day long Country Fair in the auditorium drawing crowds of area residents staff and patients. Proceeds fund an inter faith patients chapel and the fair featured produce crafts antiques hats gems and a farmers market with garden club displays and workshops.

Friends And Neighbors Welcome Newcomers In Athens Club
The Athens Friends and Neighbors Club AFAN formed in January 1989 with 60 women, now 181 members, linking newcomers and residents through monthly lunches and eleven interest groups from cooking to horseback riding.
