At about six o'clock Thursday evening during a Knoxville Superior Court session Judge Bernard Hill collapsed and died on the bench. A murder trial had just ended with a guilty verdict for two defendants. the death is blamed on heart disease rather than apoplexy. The incident sent a hush through the courtroom as sorrow gripped mournful onlookers.
Fragmentary OCR shows names Samuel B Knowles and J P Brabchury among court judges in Porter Du Hapway Common Pleas and Seventh Judicial District. Dates appear as January Mth April 2th September 2d. Text is garbled with missing words and inconsistent spellings.
