Pomeroy Chamber Backs Five Mill Levy For Meigs Local
The Pomeroy Chamber of Commerce endorsed the five mill levy for Meigs Local School District after an explanatory talk by Supt. George Hargraves. He detailed state aid figures, noting Meigs spends $608 per student locally and $481 per student from the state foundation, with $279 from local taxes. If the levy fails, Meigs could lose students to other districts and still pay the same rate. the district aims to prevent this by securing the levy.
