Homes Sacrificed for Wall in Point Pleasant
Mrs. William F. Machir of the Kaiser home on Third and River Streets says the flood wall plan requires tearing the front of the house and several rooms to make way for the barrier. She notes the riverfront change will leave an awkward face to the river and that other homes between Eighth and Third Streets, fronting the Ohio River, will be moved or torn down for the project.
