Nelsonville Rotary hears plan for school consolidation
Nelsonville Rotary heard a summary of a proposed consolidation uniting Nelsonville York Local Glouster and Trimble districts for the November 5 vote. Supt. L C Gray said about 3300 students would be affected with grades seven nine in Nelsonville Glouster buildings and grades ten twelve at York High. He stressed a consolidated district would not cut taxes but could improve vocational and science offerings with time for reorganizing.

Nelsonville route two hosts Mr and Mrs Wayne Bumgardner for a golden wedding open house from 2 to 4 pm at their home. They married Oct 15, 1913 at the Methodist Parsonage Athens officiated by Rev L L Cherrington. They have six children, 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Brush Fires Prompt Warning From Nelsonville Fire Chief

Local Club Directs Heart Fund Drive in Nelsonville
The Pandorian Club will direct the local phase of the 1964 Heart Fund campaign. Members met at Crow's Steak House for dinner then adjourned to the Presbyterian Church social rooms where Mrs. Harold Smith presided. The club approved donations to S. S. Hope and the Salvation Army. One associate member joined the gram committee.
