Clarification on Student Food Stamp Access At Ohio Univ
The State Welfare Department says Ohio University students have not been denied food stamps by the Athens County Welfare Office. Ombudsman Lester Marks and John Burns alerted state officials after student complaints of delays. Local director Phyllis Ross insists no rejections occurred and that processing will begin on pending applications on a first come basis as staff limits ease.
