Prisoners object to move to Lucasville facility

More than 1,000 inmates at the Ohio Penitentiary will be transferred early next year to the new Southern Ohio Penitentiary near Lucasville. Families face longer travel, and many inmates oppose the relocation though some southern inmates welcome it. Transfers start in weeks, with groups of about 100 to be moved weekly.

Youth Slain By Cop In Cleveland Parking Lot

Lamont Yohe a 27 year old special officer for University Circle Police Department was arrested after the shooting death of 15 year old Stephen Hlavac a Cathedral Latin High School freshman in a CTS parking lot on Cleveland's East Side. Yohe said he ordered the youth to stop and fired a shotgun as the boy ran. Hlavac died at Lakeside Hospital as investigators pursue un answered questions about the slaying.
