Roadside Park Sites in Mason County Considered for Development

George Shears of the State Road Commission and John Cooper of the Mason County Soil Conservation Service discuss several Mason County locations for roadside park development amid funding limits. The planning group, including Mrs. Ray Musgrave and Mrs. Harry Siders, emphasizes the need for parks. Cooper attended the Soil Conservation Society of America meeting in Jackson's Mill where Stacey Grosscup spoke, noting Grosscup's Samaritan roles and past rescue work after the Silver Bridge collapse. The report also notes drainage projects, including John Watterson’s cropland tile work and tile ditching equipment available from November 15, with initial farmer interest from Jack Crank, William J. Cullen, and the C. C. Lewis farm.
