Beasley Mathews Agency and Ford Dealership History
The Beasley Mathews agency in Athens helped inaugurate the Midwest Ford garage in Amesville in 1913 after Beasley won his first Ford contract. Beasley, now at Windy Hills Farm near Athens, breeds Shetland ponies and owns several show horses. Ohio University morning convocation saw Beasley’s daughters Alice Hively Fra Marjorie Mrs Robert Mathews and Virginia Mrs Richard Holzer present. Mathews and Holzer are Ford dealers.
