The Conway Diet Institute adds new times in Athens at Lakeview Center and expands to Logan Armory with Tuesday sessions. Seminar directors Ruth Ann Wells and Lynn Jacoby oversee the program regions, emphasizing simple, enjoyable nutrition and personal support with a new cookbook and accessible recipes for dieters and families.
Athens Senior Citizens Group met at City Hall for a crafts session with demonstrations. They planned exhibits of handmade articles baked goods and plants at the fall festival and were asked to gather pine cones nuts seed pods weeds and flowers for drying for the next crafts meeting on Oct. 25. A potluck supper was set for Oct. 11 and guests are welcome. Current Events Club met at Mrs. Howard Wallar’s home and featured slides from a trip to Australia New Zealand Fiji Samoa and Hawaii. The Oct. 26 meeting will be at Mrs. La Vierre Lovett’s home.
Mr. and Mrs James Eggleston of Clarksville Tennessee announce the adoption of a one month old son named William Mackey. Grandparents are Mrs Faye Lovsey of Nelsonville John Lovsey of Albany and Mr and Mrs John Eggleston of Coshocton. Great grandparents are Harry Lowsey of New Marshfield and Mrs Royal Shelton of Logan.
