Police traced Helen Shannon from the time she left her lodging in Ashland Kentucky until her body was found in a field. W Lyndh said the year old stenographer was choked to death after a malicious attack. Witnesses reported seeing a man and a woman near the area but did not stop, fearing intoxication. The incident occurred as hospital staff battled a fire at Weston Hospital left wing in N W Ve.
