Kevin Davis named sole viable local candidate for DD superintendent
After a two hour executive session the Athens County Board of Developmental Disabilities announced Kevin Davis as the only viable local candidate with a DC license to potentially replace Superintendent Eric Young. Davis has 20 years of DD leadership, OH University doctorates, and Athens County roots. The board will hold open forums for Davis with employees and stakeholders before possibly offering the job, while Young’s severance remains pending and Acting Supt Maryalice Turner will bridge the transition.
