Hamilton report: A 75 year-old grandfather in Milford Township sues eight-year-old grandson to recover a half interest in a 5-acre farm. He claims in 1927 he deeded it to his daughter Eunice Morris and her son John Bailey Morris Jr. He says in 1932 the daughter deeded back half, and now seeks the remaining share.
James Wilkerson, age nine, wandered into a northbound Baltimore and Ohio freight train and was struck and carried three feet but escaped with only minor bruises. incident reported in Hamilton on November 20.
MASSILLON November 2. Ohio State University football coach Francis Schmidt and aides Ernie Godfrey Floyd Stahl plus Athletic Director L W St John were involved in a car pileup just outside Massillon. St John drove into a pile of autos while attempting a sidestep to avoid the crash. No serious injuries reported though radiators and fenders were damaged.
In Robinson Wisconsin three people died when crude oil used to start a fire exploded. Edward Baker, 56, his mother Marintha Baker, 80, and his daughter Barbara Baker, 17, were burned in a blazing house. Baker later died from burns in a hospital.
In Illinois suburb of Barrington, Chicago area, a federal agent died in a gunfight with outlaw No. 1 public enemy George Nelson, nicknamed Baby Face, and his companion. Nelson had already been cited as a principal criminal target.
In Athens County Democratic leaders clash as Dan Rardin refuses a reorganization bid led by 47 committee members. Rardin and secretary Charles Jordan say a Monday Nelsonville meeting would be illegal and unrecognized. Separate report details the Chicago killing of gangster George Baby Face Nelson, noting federal agents died and the Dillinger era death toll rises.
NRA administrative officer WA Harriman said after meetings with officials that there were several instances of careless handling and accounting of expenditures by the Ohio Rural Fuel Code Authority but no action to suspend or revoke its authority was warranted.

Now 90 year old veteran John T Skinner faces a lawsuit after a recent car crash and 34 gallons of sorghum molasses spilled on the road. Garfield Borcher claims Skinner is unfit to drive and that all molasses valued at $1 a gallon was wasted on the highway.
The Rev. Wilbur N. Fowler of the First Methodist Church led the Thanksgiving services at Athens Presbyterian. The event, titled Thanksgiving in Our Times, emphasized sharing and gratitude. The Rev. Heed J. Downs and the Rev. A. Wilcox conducted prayers and devotionals. Mrs. Robert Tompkins contributed $80.10.
Columbus reports the Federal Relief Administration granted Ohio an $8,323,180 December allotment, over $1.1 million more than November. Ohio's month budget totals $8,890,000 with $7,190,172 from federal funds, $1,506,400 from state funds, and $103,427 from local funds.
