Burglary at Joby Marlin Store in Beaumont

Burglars entered the Joby Marlin store in Beaumont around two o'clock, stealing jewelry and merchandise valued at 215. Thieves pried open the C. I. V. & T. house, used crowbars to force windows, and were seen loitering near the scene by late evening.

Joeph McLaughlin, a longtime mine boss at Rendville owned by W P Nead, died Sunday when stepping from an approaching engine on the Rendville to No 3 mine switch. He was about 45, survived by a wife and several children. Residence Destroyed by Fire Near Millfield

The residence of Charles Fitzer five miles west of Millfield was totally destroyed Thursday evening. A frame house, the fire started in the upper story when a gammaity lit a match. clothing ignited and quickly engulfed the building. The organ and a few chairs were saved but Mrs. Pitzer lost about 150 in bills burned. Total loss estimated around 200 with insurance.

Damages Awarded In Wabash & Obie Case At Corning Court

Wilkins Anderson of Corning sued Weds Obie Central railroad for injuries suffered while employed. A Corning jury examined the scene, then returned verdict in Anderson's favor for 3.00 damages. The railroad appealed to the circuit and remanded, with a motion for a new trial argued midweek. Miss Flora Morris, daughter of Mr. Gal Morris, attracted attention at a horse show for her skillful driving of a pony. Bliss Morris, with her small dog, was noted for a polished turnout and yellow ribbon.
