The body of Glen W. Ervin 51 Athens Route 1 was found along the New York Central Railroad tracks west of Athens Saturday night. Coroner Dr John H Elias said Ervin apparently died of a fractured skull after being hit by a passing freight train. He had left home with his dog and a gun to hunt or tend sheep. Sheriff George Bateman led a search when Ervin did not return at dark. Neighbors found the body about 11 15 p m near Kern Crossing between the Route 56 overpass and Hebardville.
