Herbert Hayes of Frost visited friends Monday. A protracted meeting starts next Monday evening November 25 at the M. B. church. Dewees and Brewster employ many men in their cooper shops this week to fill all contracts. The youngest child of Mr and Mrs Charles Jones of Youba died November 17 and was buried at Torch cemetery Monday afternoon. Mrs T W Jones in Parkersburg with ill daughter Ella McCain who is stricken with typhoid fever but improving. Marion Chambers formerly of this place married Miss Buckley of Ellville at the Anderson hotel in Parkersburg on November 13 and they plan to settle in Hockingport this winter.

Three children of William Parsons are sick with typhoid fever. Hattie Doan began school at the Doan school house on the 11th. Frank Cook Alberta Cook John Ladd and Curtis E Doan joined a cheap excursion to Cincinnati last Thursday to visit the Queen City of the West. Miss Jennie Suckoo aged about 20 died Saturday after a lingering illness. Funeral was largely attended. Interment in Sally cemetery of 8 W Ladd Monday. C Anderson Carpenter has moved his family from Canaanville to this place. Janie Carpenter and Lizzie Douglass visited friends near Guysville Sunday. After a two week visit with friends at Nelsonville Hattie Thornton returned home Saturday. Mrs Caroline Tippie and Mrs Lucretia Douglass visited friends at Sugar Creek one day last week.
