Col umbus Ohio November 20 state liquor officials suspended fifteen beer and liquor permits and set hearings for November 23 and 26 to require licensees to show cause why revocation should not follow. One case cites Martin and Roller 93 Mill Street Middleport Pharmacy permit for selling liquor without a written prescription. Mrs. Eliza Jane Laird Pemberton age 90 died at her daughter Mrs. Frank May's home near Albany. The funeral will be held at Delaware at 1 p.m. Thursday. Friends may call at the May residence, relatives stated.
Forsyth told the Athens Kiwanis Club the Federal Housing Act expands lending by banks meeting requirements with 20 percent government insurance. He said loans up to 10,000 are allowed, with 2,000 per property, terms up to three years, monthly or semi annual payments, and borrower income at least five times the annual payment. Phillip Jones 25 Negro is held under guard at Henrico County jail after confessing to the killing of Clifton Forge girls Alice and Ellen Hill. David Carter aged TM father of John Carter of Murray City died this morning at the home of his son in law and daughter Mr and Mrs Ed Evans Mona Carter in Akron. He lived in Murray City all adult life and is survived by two sons and two daughters and other relatives. Funeral is set for 1 30 p m Friday in Akron.
