Neighbors report she walked away from home and her whereabouts remained unknown through the following day. Local authorities pressed search efforts as family issued appeals for information.

Watson Kaler to Return from English Army Service
Watson Kaler son of Mrs Mary Kaler University Terrace has notified his mother by letter of his location in New Orleans before sailing to South Africa. He previously served in Columbus and was in the SpanishAmerican War era. He enlisted in the English cavalry in Cape Town and served in England during King Edward's coronation before returning to New York and sailing to Fernandina where he contracted typhoid fever. He is now recovering and plans to return home to Athens. He has served in two wars before age twenty five.

A fairground snake act left Athens with a fifteen dollar hotel bill. Owners S R Henderson found a dozen rattlesnakes hidden in telescopes in their rooms. nine were dead from starvation, three alive. Aline and Marie fled town, two men rode away on freight, leaving the women to face debt. The live snakes remain with Henderson as the owners return.

Thirty Days Each for Drunkenness in Columbus
Toder Fields and Hawk, both colored and white respectively, were arrested Monday evening for drunkenness and disorderly conduct and jailed until Tuesday morning. Before Mayor Logan they were fined and sentenced to thirty days in the Columbus workhouse, with costs totaling $18.35 each. Mrs. Nancy Davis on Dean avenue had charged them with entering her house Sunday morning while intoxicated and causing disturbances. They were taken to Columbus Tuesday noon.

Inmate Runaway From Athens Hospital Located at Smith Home
Minta Moore who escaped from Athens state hospital last week was found at the home of C. B. Smith on garal mail route No. 2. She had been at the institution for an extended period and was a trusty. She eluded attendants and reached the Smith home the same day and will likely be returned to the institution soon.
