In Nelsonville on Nov 8 2024 workers reported 227 loaded coal cars totaling about 13 630 tons. Open shop mines in Sunday Creek delivered 125 cars through Corn ing yards while Nelsonville received 102 cars about 6 120 tons. Thirteen open shop mines in the valley loaded 84 cars about 5 040 tons with 18 cars 1 080 tons on the Hocking side. Eight cars from New Straits ville and six small properties under union agreement completed the output. All 34 open shop mines were active with 3 272 men reported and Brush Fork Coal Company resumed operations today.

Tragic Lynn Factory Explosion Kills Fifteen
