State troopers arrest three for heroin possession on Route 42

Cincinnati men were arrested after patrolmen, acting on a narcotics tip, stopped a car on Route 42 four miles north of Sharonsville. The trio, all from Cincinnati, had 44 grams of heroin in their possession and are held in Hamilton County Jail without charges.

Four Die In Air Force Plane Crash Near Tucson

A crippled Air Force plane from Ellington Base Houston crashed during an emergency landing at Tucson Municipal Airport killing four airmen and injuring 11. The aircraft struck power lines then plummeted to the ground before bursting into flames. Three of the injured remained in serious but not critical condition at Pima County Hospital.
