Municipal Contests Here Interesting
Logan voters eyed a close mayoral contest between Mayor Elias Bright and Republican nominee Kenneth Fitzgerald with former mayor F. A. Koppe also influencing. Campaigning has been less public but strong undercurrent support signals a heavy turnout. Other races include auditor Mrs Josephine Hansel versus Porter Al Waugh, and solicitor races between Gerald W Lanning and Joseph J Canty. Absentee ballots and township contests, school board tensions, and a Benton Township 4000 end building proposal added breadth to the slate as Logan eyes a robust election day.
