May 29 American forces charged Cantigny in Picardy and, after forty five minutes of fierce fighting, seized Cantigny Chateau and adjacent trenches. Units took 182 prisoners, with heavy German counterattacks repelled as artillery blazed.
German fresh divisions push along the Solesmes Rheims front with reports of a 15 mile depth on the Aisne. France withdraws left to the eastern border of Soissons as heavy fighting, with British and American units holding in various sectors. raids north of Bezonvaux and in Badonvillers area are noted.

The Red Men and Mohawk Tribe of the Improved Order of Red Men plan to participate in the Memorial Day events with veterans and other fraternal orders. Athens Red Men members are asked to meet at their West Washington Street hall at 11 30 Thursday morning to prepare details.

He said he struck the old man with iron, then returned to view the body as it was moved, showing no remorse as he spoke from Mansfield Reformatory. Police in Ottawa, Can., have also solved their union.
