No End To Them Deputy Says 20 Bodies Found

Eight more bodies were dug up near Yuba City along the Feather River, bringing the total to 20 as the hunt continued. Sheriff Roy Whiteaker reported 15 by Thursday, later rising to 20 with nightfall. One suspect, Juan Corona, 37, was jailed on 10 murders. The killings involved machete slayings of transient farm workers aged 40 to 63. Motive remained unknown.
