Psychology of a child speaking to herself and pig Latin
A mother questions why a child Polly chats to herself in odd phrases while a columnist argues that such self talk is normal and criticizes parents who overanalyze children's humor. The piece recalls a father’s sternness, a pig Latin episode, and the need for humor in parenting.
