Ohio Senator Vic Donahey told a Cincinnati constituent by letter that he has the American guts to vote to override the Roosevelt veto of the Patman Bonus Bill. He defended veterans and argued the bill’s payment should have come long ago, citing wartime sacrifices.
Pickets stood guard at the White Motor Company plant after a Tuesday strike and sales and executive offices were moved to a new downtown site. The India Rubber Company remains the sole tire industry plant operating under a closed shop system.

Jones former assistant director of the state relief administration surplus commodities division files a suit for 50121 damages claiming false arrest on April 10 for alleged defrauding an innkeeper. The case was dismissed in police court on April 26 naming Deshler Hotel Co and officer Adrian Warlick Jr. as defendants.
