Senator Daniel Brewster ends bid to block Gov. George Wallace in Maryland’s Democratic presidential primary Tuesday after a Baltimore campaign tour with Senator Edward Kennedy. Wallace appears at a Baltimore area rally as Kennedy and Brewster draw about 3000 supporters amid pro and anti Wallace signs.

Red Aid Sought On Laos by U S in Crisis Warning

The United States told the Soviet Union Britain and Asian allies that a breakdown of Laos neutrality could spark a Southeast Asian crisis. Secretary of State Rusk met with Soviet, British and other ambassadors to seek support to preserve the Geneva Laos accord and halt Communist advances in Plaine des Jarres.

Coleman reelected Ohio Democratic state chairman

William L. Coleman was re-elected to a fifth two year term as state Democratic chairman by the central committee in Columbus. The committee also nominated Harry R. Meredith of Lima for central committee chairman after Stephen M. Young withdrew opposition last week.

House Unit OKs Space and Veterans Bills for 1964

The House Appropriations Committee approved 5.2 billion dollars for space programs and 5.4 billion for veterans programs. The measures are part of a 13.319 billion omnibus bill funding 25 federal agencies for the new fiscal year starting July 1. The panel cut federal personnel funding and the total is 6.5 percent below President Johnson’s request. An extra 25 thousand dollars was voted for Mrs. John F. Kennedy’s expenses amid sympathy mail following the former president’s assassination.

Weekend Accidents Kill 19 In State

Nine teens died in Ohio over the weekend with 13 traffic fatalities, 3 drownings, and 3 misc losses reported between Friday evening and Sunday night. The toll adds to this year’s high weekend death total in the state.

The Associated Press surveys show Barry Goldwater far ahead of rivals for the Republican nomination eight weeks before the convention with 287 votes to date. Greek Turkish Cypriots ease tensions at Famagusta borders

In Famagusta Greek and Turkish Cypriots dismantled border gun posts as tensions eased. The future of the proposed vocational high school hinges on a June steering committee meeting led by County School Supt. T. C. Porter. Clergy March On Capitol Pressing Civil Rights Bill

A silent march on Capitol Hill drew about 200 clergy and laypeople from 41 states and D C to urge prompt Senate action on the civil rights bill. Led by Very Rev Francis B Sayre the group gathered after a prayer service and planned strategy with aides to Senators Humphrey and Kuchel before marching toward the Capitol.

Middleport Man Dell Hysell Body Recovered

The body of 50 year old Dell Loren Hysell of Middleport Route 1 was recovered from the Ohio River near the Gallipolis Roller Dam south of here. He had been missing since February 8 and his car was found near the Pomeroy Mason Bridge. West Virginia State Police and Mason County Sheriff investigated. The Mason County coroner was investigating with funeral arrangements to be announced by Ewing funeral home of Pomeroy.

Oxford obit notes Harvey C. Hoffman former Jackson County marshal and friend of Frank James and Cole Younger. A Kansas City childhood neighbor of "Mr. Howard" Jesse James, Hoffman later met Harry S. Hundreds of youths divided by dress styles rioted on England’s southern coast with Brighton as the center.
