Two Glouster police officers were terminated after a Route 685 crash. Officer Ryan Keeney was cited for operating under the influence and going left of center as his Ford struck a house. Passenger Joshua Duewel was not charged. mayor says he was apparently intoxicated.
A Saturday crash on Route 50 near the Route 33 ramp in Athens sent one person to the hospital and two others to Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail on tampering with evidence charges. Driver Joseph King and passenger Kasey Ward, both of Parkersburg, were allegedly attempting to conceal a gun and drug paraphernalia at the scene. Bond was set at 5000 cash or 10 percent.
