Nixon Replies To North School Pupils On Beards And Dogs
Second graders at North School Portland received a personal reply from President Nixon after asking if he would grow a beard and about his dogs Vickie Pasha and Tim. Nixon says he enjoys living in the White House and values the students interest in pets. The letter notes some readers would vote for him while urging Charlie to heed his mother. The note adds a separate stat about U.S. water use, stating about 140 billion gallons daily for irrigation.
