Commissioners Plan Two Sessions In Hocking County
The Hocking County board of commissioners schedules two meetings next week. On Monday at 1 p.m. HVH hospital board and the building committee will seek a compromise on hospital operations to open around December 1. Thursday will feature a tentative airport authority discussion with Ohio Aviation Board director Norman Crabtree.

Auto safety check set for Sunday in Nelsonville
Another voluntary auto safety check will be conducted Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 p m at the Bob Hess Chevrolet Used car lot on Fayette Street. The inspection is sponsored by the firm and the city police department. Last Sunday, 200 cars were inspected.

Bicycle license to be issued in Nelsonville
Nelsonville officials will issue bicycle licenses Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at the city building. Police Chief Max Valkinburg says all bicycles used on city streets must be licensed.

Hocking Action Group restructures County Committee
At a Logan High School reorganization meeting the Hocking County Community Action Committee outlined a 60 member panel split into three equal groups representing low income privat eorganizations and public officials each with three executive seats. Officers elected were Don Young president Frank Perry vice president Herschel Bensenhaver secretary and John Yates treasurer. The group will approve anti poverty programs and a federal grant application for a full time director was discussed.
