Lessons in Bridge Playing
North holds AQB K9743 and South must duck diamonds. After winning with the queen of hearts, South ruffs a spade to dummy and continues with a low diamond. East plays low and South finesses the diamond ten, though he expects it to lose. West cannot defeat the contract on any return, allowing South to capture ace and king of diamonds and cash remaining diamonds. Declarer makes four diamonds three spades one heart and one club.
