Nelsonville churches set Mother's Day observances for May 14 with sermons music and special programs. The Berean Bible Class invites men to attend at 9:50 AM, with solos readings and flower tributes for mothers. Local Methodist and Presbyterian services feature addressed sermons and offerings supporting Bible schools.
An elderly man credits Kellogg's All-Bran with ending weekly cathartic use. He says he can eat any food without constipation and notes laboratory tests show bulk and vitamin B aiding digestion and muscle tone.

Visitors from Church Schools of Logan Nelsonville Marietta Pomeroy and Gallipolis Episcopal Churches will attend the Annual Offering Day services for Church School pupils teachers and patients at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Athens on Sunday May 14 at 3 o clock. Rev L W Clarke rector of the Athens church will announce Canon Gilbert Symons of Cincinnati and Mrs T L Bush of Gallipolis as speakers. The day’s program includes Holy Communion at 8 am baptism and the 10 30 sermon.
The Jacksonville and Hollister United Brethren Churches announce Mother's Day services led by Rev. E. R. Robinette. Jacksonville holds Sunday School at 9 with a 10 o'clock sermon, Christian Endeavor at 7 and a prayer meeting. Hollister hosts 9:30 Sunday School, 10:30 class meeting, 7 Christian Endeavor, and a 7:30 evening sermon.
Mothers will be honored with special Sunday services at several churches. The First Presbyterian Church will hear Rev. H. L. Geddes speak on The Motherhood of God in the morning, with evening worship at 7 30. United Brethren and Nazarene church services also feature mother themed programs with pastors B C Peters C A Gibson. Atha Sunday School class conducts 4 pm vesper services at the Methodist Church to raise funds for Worthington Children's Home. Mrs Walter Prather and Miss Dorothy Myers are featured at piano and organ.
The Alexander Presbyterian Church on the Athens Albany road plans a Mother's Day sermon and special program led by Rev Howard Ely Warner. Morning worship begins at 11 o'clock with church school classes at 10.
Glouster area churches announce plans for a United Vacation Bible School under church sponsorships. Mother's Day themed services are scheduled across Glouster and nearby communities including Church of Christ and Methodist Episcopal parishes with times for Sunday School worship and Epworth League events.
Athens area churches set a union Mother’s Day program with talks by Rev W W Duff and Rev C M Coulter and musical selections. Activities include Fellowship Supper at 5, vesper by Jean Gaylord, and sermons at 10:30 by Rev A Wilcox and at 2:30 by Rev Howard Fw.
