Washington May 12 The administration plans to oust Emmanuel Levin a Communist party member from the Bonus Army leadership. Police and White House sources said action would clear the city of Bonus Marchers sending about 200 to Fort Hunt Virginia while 500 veterans at the camp are described as Communist organized. The Right Wing group seeks refuge downtown as President Roosevelt’s Reforestation Corps job offer for 25 000 veterans is watched for impact on the protest.
Athens Grange initiated 55 candidates into first and second degrees at the Grange Hall with degree teams from Canaan Grange. The event closed a months long membership drive and was followed by refreshments for more than 150 attendees.
Ninety children from West Millfield School visited a local plant on Thursday afternoon with their teachers Mrs. Irwin Stauffer Miss May Howard and Miss Myrta Ashworth. They traveled by school bus driven by Gabriel Penncetti and were accompanied by the teachers in cars.

John Wagner of Burr Oak was found guilty by a jury in Athens County Common Pleas Court on an assault and battery charge against Dwight Davis of the same address. Sentencing was postponed pending a motion for a new trial.
Miss Margaret Flory of Wauseon won first prize in the Ohio University College of Arts women’s oratorical contest held Thursday afternoon. Five entrants delivered original compositions in the event.

A mother and her three daughters perished today when a blaze tore through their Elwood Indiana home. Fire crews battled the flames as neighbors reported the fast moving fire. The tragedy occurred in the morning hours on May 12.

Cambridge real estate dealer F. D. Shively was arraigned on a bribery charge, pleaded not guilty, and posted $1,000 bond. He allegedly offered Forest W. Hall of Guernsey County $1,000 to forget a legislative bill to cut mortgage loan interest rates.
McARTHUR May 12 Arrangements have been made to organize a camp for 200 men to plant forest trees on the Zaleski state forest tract This will be part of the Presidents new nation wide enterprise.

He praises improved county schools, better-trained teachers, and tighter funds, with emphasis on English civics and science and a general, non specialized education to adapt to future work. Enrollment rises from 9000 in 1915 to 400000 in 1933 and postgraduate share about five percent.
