Frederick Gross a 49 year old bookkeeper is held for questioning by Brooklyn police after five family members die since March 29 including his wife and four children. An analysis of organs from two daughters and a cocoa can at the Gross home showed traces of an obscure poison.
JOLIET Ill Three men connected to an attempted Lenore Bank robbery were executed by electric chair Friday morning In Joliet Fred Gerner 27 and Arthur Thielen 42 both of Rockford Ill and John Jauff 42 of Chicago were executed Sheriff Glen Axine of Marshall County and bank cashier J Charles Bundy along with Charlies Seep a township trustee were victims of the gunmen.
A three member board representing employers the public and labor urged federal relief authorities in Ohio to raise wage scales for relief labor in Tuscarawas County. They proposed increases from four cents an hour for common labor to 2 to 25 cents an hour for skilled labor.
