Tests on pipeline steel strengthen gas mains near Athens
The 42nd field test in a series conducted last week by Battelle Columbus Laboratories measured rupture speed along a pipeline specimen with special instrumentation. The experiments, begun in the 1950s, aim to verify lab data and improve strength and toughness of natural gas pipelines.
