Honduran army units pursued a parachutist who fled with 303000 in ransom after hijacking an Eastern Airlines jet on an Allentown to Miami route. In Utah another protestor seized a Western Airlines plane bound for Cuba. FBI named the Utah hijacker as 21 year old Michael Lynn Hanson.

Miss America Laurie Schaefer Returns Home for Rest

Miss America 1972 Laurie Lea Schaefer of Bexley Ohio returned home to Columbus for a week of rest after a five day hospital stay in Atlantic City for acute gastroenteritis described as a very nasty abdominal upset. She was admitted Wednesday to Atlantic City Hospital for treatment.
