Two Ashland Men Arrested in Copper Wire Theft
Archie Blevins and Elza Patrick, both of Ashland Kentucky, were arrested with Athens officer Finsterwald for allegedly stealing about 400 pounds of large size copper wire from Beaumont Mining Company near Chauncey. Patrick, jailed in Ironton, may have sold the wire and bought liquor. Ted Adams accompanied the thiefs and disappeared before arraignment.

Constable Joe Jonas and Deputy Lindamood identified Paul Wells of Clarksburg as one of two men who robbed a Belpre gasoline station March 7.
