Color Dance Music Festival returns for third year in May

The Color Dance Music Festival resumes at Poston Lake Park May 15 to 17, celebrating Holi inspired color play and unity. Headliners include Future Rock from Chicago and TAUK from New York, with local acts on a second stage in Athens. Two day presale tickets are $60, door price $80, kids 12 and under free.

OU grad students explore how video games trigger emotion

Ohio University researchers Jeff Kuhn and Donelle Batty develop The Things We Carry, a location based game using ARIS on iPhone that guides players through Athens sites from Baker University Center to University Gate and Emeriti Park while sharing nostalgic stories. The project aims to test whether mobile narrative games can elicit genuine emotional responses and tears, potentially serving as a learning tool or entertainment prototype.

Nelsonville Street Committee meeting set for 10 a.m.

Nelsonville announces that the Street Committee will hold its regular meeting on Emlay Street at 10 a.m. The public is invited. Jeni's Traces Listeria Source to Filling Machine

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams says listeria in its Ohio plant is traced to a pint filling machine. CEO John Lowe notes unknown how contamination occurred but pledges ongoing cleaning and about 200000 dollars in changes. Recall and shop closures across six states had been announced earlier.
