Logan records show half year tax collections totaling 153 994 98 dollars in Hocking County per Treasurer George Hengel. The figure is lower than 1988 when a ten mill levy prevailed but still reflects higher payments than during recent prior years.
Logan C. of C. directors met Wednesday night to name officers and authorize committees. Barton A. EF named manager, Miss Marie Lines reemployed as secretary, Frank Blaston appointed treasurer. They discussed coordinating with the PWA program and forming a representative citizens committee to study needs and advise city action.
Logan Eli Sherlock, age unspecified, died at his home near Maxville at 11 o'clock Wednesday night after a two hour illness and heart attack. Survived by wife, a son, and other relatives. Brother Jos Becreck lives in Athens. Mrs. Alive Sibley is in Cold. Funeral at the Church of the Nazarene with burial in New Bed Cemetery in Perry County.
