Six Athens area high school students have been chosen as delegates to the American Legion Buckeye Boys State at Ashland College June 14 27 with two delegates from each of Athens high schools. Alternates include six more students from Athens Blue and Alexander districts.

137 Auto Crashes Investigated In April
Athens Post 5 of the State Highway Patrol investigated 137 auto accidents during April with improper speed or failure to yield the right of way as the main causes. There were 41 injuries to drivers and passengers and alcohol involved in 13 percent of the accidents.
