George Schoonover aged about 86 is found dead near Deanville with head and neck injuries after a late night quarrel at a Bailey Run saloon. George Wearen, 25, is charged with murder in the first degree and released on $1000 bail after a preliminary hearing in Nelsonville.

Death of James C Wilson at Crippen home after illness
James C Wilson died Tuesday at the home of Mr and Mrs Henry Crippen after an extended illness of senility. He was 78 and had lived with the Crippens. He was father to Mrs Hemy. Remains will be shipped to Bartlett Washington County for interment.

Death of Herbert Ford Tied to Measles and Fire Rescue
Herbert Ford aged 34 died at his sister Mrs. W H Farrell's home from measles complications. He caught a cold while assisting at a fire at Mr Farrell's house the morning after the blaze and died soon after. Funeral for Homer G Finsterwald Held in Columbus
The funeral for Homer G Finsterwald, whose remains arrived from Roswell New Mexico with his parents Jesse and Mrs Finsterwald, was conducted Sunday at the M E Church. Services were under Eagles and Red Men auspices with Rev Haddes of the Third Street Methodist Church delivering the sermon. Interment followed at Clarks Chapel.
