Hollywood screenwriter Frank Cavett a Southeastern Ohio native will be buried in Jackson. He attended Ohio University in the mid-1920s earned a 1953 Alumni Association Merit Award and belonged to Phi Delta Theta. Cavett died Sunday in Santa Monica after a long illness. He graduated Yale Drama School and went to Hollywood in 1937 and helped write two Oscar winning scripts Going My Way and The Greatest Show on Earth. Funeral details were pending.
