New Officers Elected For Women's League
Carolyn Herbert of Athens was chosen vice president of Ohio University's Women s League, replacing Janice Wiggin. Akron’s Eileen Murphy and Mary Newkirk were elected president and treasurer, succeeding Norma Kodes and Peg Faulkner. Mary Jane Basilone of Cleveland will be secretary, with 904 ballots cast. All women students at the university are automatic members and meet monthly to act on women’s student interests.

President and Mrs John C Baker of Ohio University entertained with a dinner party Monday night in honor of Dr Edith Wray who gave the faculty lecture. Lanza to Sing in Athens Final Community Concert
Brilliant young American tenor Mario Lanza will perform Wednesday March 30 in Memorial Auditorium Athens as the season finale of the Community Concert Association series. The 8 15 p m start follows Lanza’s two year Army service and tours with the Bel Canto Trio and solo acts. He is under MGM contract in Hollywood and has completed his first motion picture.
